The global baby skincare market, valued at US$15 billion ($22.9 billion) in 2022, is set to skyrocket to US$27.76 billion ($42.4 billion) by 2032, boasting a robust 6.4 per cent CAGR (compound annual growth rate) during the forecast period, according to Precedence Research.
Leading the market are various brands offering an array of baby care products, with creams dominating in 2022. However, predictions suggest rapid growth in the oil segment in the coming years.
In the retail sector, supermarkets and hypermarkets took the lead in 2022, providing a diverse range of baby skincare products and contributing significantly to market expansion.
Among the key players, QV, born in 1953 under Ego Pharmaceuticals, has become a skincare innovator with over 50 products sold in more than 20 countries.
To mark its national availability at Coles and Woolworths, QV Baby recently hosted a vibrant garden party in Melbourne.
Hosted by media personality, Abbey Gelmi, the event featured a sit down brunch; educational Q&A with specialist dermatologist, Dr Deshan Sebaratnam, and midwife and childbirth educator, Erin Phibbs; alongside face painting, pop up shop and a disco perfect for adults and kids alike to let their hair down.
The morning event, hosted at a private residence in Melbourne, was attended by Sarah Davidson, Lisa De Sanctis, Sophia Pafitis, Mikayla Crisp, and Natalie Docherty with many guests bringing their children to enjoy the festivities.
QV Senior Brand Manager, Kira Torpy, said: “There’s nothing more important to a parent than the health and happiness of their children. It can be overwhelming listening to all the opinions and wading through all the options so we’re proud to have the trusted endorsement of pediatricians for our baby range.
“We were thrilled to host this event and invite some of our favourite personalities to enjoy brunch and a memorable day out that not only educates them about the importance of baby skincare but encourages them take a break from the daily grind of parenthood and connect and celebrate with other like-minded parents.”
The QV Baby range of gentle hydrating cleansers, moisturisers and barrier creams is specially developed for babies’ delicate skin.
