Alya Skin founders Manny Barbas and James Hachem.

Best friends Manny Barbas and James Hachem started their brand Alya Skin less than two years ago, and despite having already made more than $7 million, are showing no signs of slowing down any time soon.

The 24-year-old entrepreneurs addressed media and influencers on board a super yacht, chartered around Sydney Harbour to celebrate the launch of their latest product – Foaming Micellar Cleanser.

“When we launched Alya Skin almost two years ago we had no idea what would come of it,” James said.

“And here we are – we had a lot of fun with it  and it’s been a great journey and now we are trying to build our brand globally.”

The Alya Skin range now includes four products.

Manny said the new cleanser, which “took ages to develop” but was now “perfect”, was certainly not the last product in the pipeline.

“We’re only just getting started,” he said.

“We’ve got so much more to show you.”

The duo was first catapulted into the beauty spotlight with the launch of their Australian pink clay mask.

The Daily Mail recently reported that the boys sold $25,500 worth of their new foaming cleanser in the first hour of launching it and were on track to make $2 million just in the last month.

The Daily Mail also reported Manny and James earned $7 million in their first 14 months of business.

The cleanser, which contains ingredients including witch hazel, watermelon seed oil and rose geranium oil, is the fourth product to be launched in their portfolio.

“We sold 16,000 units on pre-order already and another 500 units in Priceline in our first week of launch,” Manny told The Daily Mail.
