Boutique public relations agency Sarah Humphries Agency (SHA) held their 2020 summer showings and Christmas preview staggered over two days.

Media and influencers were invited to the agency’s Paddington headquarters where they were greeted with a custom mocktail from The Beauty Chef before perusing the collection of brands showcased at the event.

More than 120 guests attended the Covid-19 compliant event.

Agency founder and director Sarah Humphries said it was such a success, there would be more similar events in the pipeline.

“The showcase has been a great experience,” she said.

“As a team we were really considered in approaching an event in any capacity as we wanted to be both responsible and respectful to the time we live in. The format of the showcase meant we were able to work to the essential  Covid-19 requirements, while enjoying the much missed facetime with our colleagues and celebrating our clients’ new launches. It’s not a format that we had executed before because we have so many brand specific events, or retailers have their own showcases, however after such a positive experience we intend for it to be a regular on the SHA calendar.”

Some highlights from the showcase included make up artist Leah Baines colour matching guests from Anastasia Beverly Hills’ 50 shades of Luminous Foundation, with each guest able to take home their correct shade, The Beauty Chef debuting Adaptogen, the newest flavour from their Inner Beauty Boosts collection,  and Ere Perez providing five minute mini facial massages for guests wanting to take a quick time out.

Sarah said although we were all “walking into 2021 with a small sense of trepidation” that there were lots of positive signs in the industry.

“I can see lots of positive signs within beauty – new launches, established brands growing, new brands launching,” she said.

“For SHA, we will continue to look at the ways we used to do things and see if we can do it differently – smarter, better. I don’t think Zoom events will disappear, but I do think we’ll see more in-person events.”

Lanolips was just one beauty brand showcased at the event.
