Pat McGrath, MBE was named in Time‘s 2019 Top 100 Most Influential People list. And Vogue magazine refers to Pat as the most influential makeup artist in the world. With a 30+ year history as a makeup artist, the North-of-England born, 49-year-old Pat McGrath has a global following and what she says in makeup terms matters.
Today she launched her first ever foundation line to the world and Sydney took it for Australia. Sephora, Pat McGrath’s Australian retail partner, rolled out Sublime Perfection Foundation with a counter in store and a Pop Up outside the store in Pitt Street Mall.
Pat McGrath’s Sublime Perfection Foundation is a customisable system for achieving “legendary skin” says the company. “It’s the ultimate no-filter-necessary skin ritual”.
The new foundation is buildable and looks satin matte on the skin. This can be achieved in a sheer veil finish up to medium coverage in 36 universal shades. Pale translucent to rich dark.
The nourishing formulation is crafted with Vita-Serum Complex designed to help fight the formation of wrinkles by preserving the hydrolipidic film barrier of the skin and boost hydration by activating the natural production of hyaluronic acid and ceramides. Diamond Core Powder Technology improves skin texture by optically smoothing and blurring the appearance of fine lines and imperfections. An illuminating soft-focus pigment blended into the formula converts and scatters light, emulating the effect of a healthy young complexion. The serum-soft, customisable foundation unites a filtered, blurring effect and incandescent radiance with pleasing versatility.
Using fingertips gives the barely-there look, or use a brush or wet sponge to achieve Pat’s legendary backstage skin. Formulated without parabens, talc or fragrance. Oil-free.
The Sublime Perfection Foundation shade range comprises McGrath’s three-decades-in-the-making ultimate kit. The 36 skin-tone perfect colour choices span five levels (Light, Light Medium, Medium, Medium Deep, Deep). All include to skin types, skin tones and undertones, ranging from light to deep hues. Each haute hue is formulated to elevate every skin tone on set, backstage, on runways and in real life under studio flash photography, runway lights, and in daylight. No filter required.
Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection The System went on sale today – Friday July 26, 2019 at SEPHORA Australia. The Foundation launched globally on the same day around the world meaning Australians can be some of the first to get their hands on it!
