Sephora is set to open its first store in South Australia.
The worldwide cosmetics retailer has confirmed it will be opening the $1.6 million Rundle Mall location in October.
Sephora General Manager Australia & New Zealand, Beth Glancey says the brand has been “inundated” with requests from locals to open a South Australian store, which will include three beauty studios, a Benefit Brow Bar and the first dedicated skincare studio in the country.
The store will replace the former two-story Just Jeans shop with the company receiving approval for refurbishment in July. Renovations will include the revamp of the shop front to feature the brand’s iconic black-and-white signage.
This new store is expected to create 25 new jobs in the area.
An opening date is yet to be announced but, the grand reveal is sure to be a fanfare. Previous Sephora openings have included gift vouchers for early birds, product giveaways, makeup masterclasses, live entertainment and sweet treats.
Adelaidians could only purchase Sephora products through its online store, which meant customers missed out on in-store experiences. The Rundle Mall store will give consumers the opportunity to trial exclusive brands, such as Tarte, Huda Beauty, Fenty Beauty and Sephora Collection, before purchase.
Opening its first Australian store in 2014, Sephora now has bricks-and-mortar shops in Victoria, Queensland and New South Wales.
