Agence de Parfum, Australia’s most esteemed niche perfume and home fragrance distribution company, held its Summer 2023 showings at the company’s new location in Rosebery.
Founded in 2008 by Fragrance Foundation Board Member and Principal Lawyer Nick Smart, all brands are also sold through the company’s retail arm Libertine Parfumerie, which has two flagship boutiques and an interactive e-boutique.
The company operates in close collaboration with international fragrance expert Michael Edwards of Fragrances of the World, offering personalised perfume consultations, master classes and intensive training programs and seminars.
At the recent Summer 2023 showings, Agence De Parfum National Education Michael Marzano spoke in depth about the upcoming launches.
He flagged amber and saffron as two big trends to look out for in the fragrance world.
During the presentation, he went through new launches, packaging makeovers and sustainability initiatives from the following brands:
- Amouage – an international luxury fragrance brand founded in 1983 in Oman
- BDK Parfums – an independent fragrance creation house in the Palais Royal district of Paris
- Bond No 9 – a New York-based perfume house launched in 2003 by Laurice Rahmé
- Carrière Frères – a fragrance manufacturer since 1884 in Paris
- Xerjoff – an Italian luxury brand created by Sergio Momo in 2003
- Claus Porto – founded in 1887 by Ferdinand Claus and Georges Schweder, two Germans living in Portugal
- Costume National – an Italian fashion house founded in 1986 by Ennio Capasa in Milan
- Christian Tortu – the most famous florist in France who creates home fragrances
- Floris London – founded n 1730, the oldest English retailer of fragrance and toiletries
- Juliette Has a Gun – founded in 2005 by Romano Ricci, a great-grandson of Nina Ricci
- Maison Crivelli – a French niche perfume brand created by Thibaud Crivelli in 2018
- Parfums Montale – founded by Pierre Montale in 2003 in Paris, before he created Mancera House in 2008
- Matiere Premiere – created by Aurélien Guichard in 2016
- Memo Paris – the Parisian fragrance house launched in 2007 by Clara Molloy and her husband John
- Miller et Bertaux – founded in 1985 by Francis Miller and Patrick Bertaux in Paris
- Mizensir – founded in 1999 in Geneva by Alberto Morillas
- Ormonde Jayne – a London-based niche perfume house founded by Linda Pilkington in 2000
- Roja Parfums – founded in 2011 by Roja Dove in the UK
- Trudon – founded in 1643 by Claude Trudon, Paris-based Maison de Cire Trudon was the official supplier to the royal court of Louis XIV at Versailles
- Xerjoff – an Italian luxury brand created by Sergio Momo in 2003
