- David Willey – Youth Marketing Australia Founder
- Nicci Herrera – Percolate Media (Retail Beauty) Director and event host.
All panellists engaged in a Q&A session, providing the audience with cutting-edge insights on how to grow within the beauty industry.
This was just one of the highlights of the expo, which was declared the most successful show since the start of the pandemic.
The annual two-day B2B expo – the largest of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere – showcased more than 200 exhibitors from around the nation in diverse areas of beauty, food, beverages, health and homewares, as well as more than 30 influential business speakers.
This year the beauty and personal care industry was well-represented with many brands featuring innovative products with added health benefits.
Naturally Good Product Manager Sinead Kavanagh said the Naturally Good Beauty & Living Pavilion has now grown to over 90 companies showing off their product ranges.
“Many brands have picked up on the growing trend that their consumers are paying more attention to not only what goes in their body, but also on their body,” she said.
“It’s become so important for beauty brands to not let their retail offering fall behind and expand their ranges to meet your customers’ demands for natural, organic, green, clean, chemical and cruelty-free beauty and personal care.”
Beauty was also front and centre at the first-ever 2022 Naturally Good Awards, held at Sydney’s ICC on Friday night, June 3, at a gala cocktail event.
Vying for the Best Beauty & Cosmetics Product were nominees Dearest Lips – Dearest Lips; Acure – Seriously Soothing Jelly Milk Makeup Remover; Ethique – Curliosity Solid Conditioner & Co-wash for Curly Hair; The Jojoba Co – Ultimate Serum; and Antipodes – Diem Vitamin C Pigment-Correcting Water Cream, with Ethique being named the winner.
The speaker series also included valuable presentations such as The Future of Beauty hosted by KinShen Chan, Mintel Mintel’s Senior Beauty & Personal Care Analyst; and Skincare Trends in Asia presented by Sharon Kwek, Mintel’s Director of Consulting for Beauty & Personal Care.
Sinead said the expo, now in its seventh year, had exceeded all expectations.
“Given the challenges of the last few years, it’s been amazing to see all the industry support for businesses in the natural health space. We had incredible retailers attend this year’s expo and the feedback and interest from them has been phenomenal,” she said.
“This year’s theme was The Natural Step Ahead: Your Platform for Organic Growth, and we feel the expo lived up to that by helping and inspiring many exhibitors on their business journey. Exhibitors were constantly busy in meetings and made fantastic contacts.”
The expo will return to Sydney next year in June at the ICC.
