Amouage has expanded its Guidance Collection with the new Guidance 46 Exceptional Extrait.

Launched in 2023, Guidance Eau de Parfum, created by perfumer Quentin Bisch under Chief Creative Officer Renaud Salmon, quickly became one of the brand’s most celebrated scents. The new Guidance 46 takes the original’s unique blend of Pear, Hazelnut, and Sandalwood, enhancing its contrasts and complexities for an even more mesmerising effect.

Salmon and Bisch aimed to accentuate the balance between the original formula’s quieter and more assertive elements. “We thought it would be fascinating if Quentin didn’t remove anything from the original formula but instead added ingredients to make all parts of the structure stand out with greater power and complexity,” said Salmon.

Guidance 46 opens with a luminous blend of Pear, Bitter Almond, and Pink Pepper, transitioning into grandiose notes of Rose, Saffron, Sambac Jasmine, and Osmanthus. The base deepens with Georgywood and Cypriol, while the musky Ambrette and a creamy mix of Vanilla, Sandalwood, Cistus, and Ambergris provide a cohesive finish.

This Exceptional Extrait contains 46% perfume oils, aged for four weeks to achieve its unparalleled richness and balance. The bottle features rich inner lacquering in a translucent pink, with a gradient colour effect and gold accents designed by Belgian artist Louise Mertens, emphasising the composition’s dramatic contrasts.
