Derived from the Babchi plant, bakuchiol has been widely found to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and improve skin texture and tone, giving a firmer, more youthful appearance and rejuvenated complexion.

With a long history of usefulness in traditional Ayurvedic, Chinese and Indian medicines, bakuchiol is now becoming  a popular alternative to retinol, which increases the skin’s sensitivity to light, restricting it predominantly to night-time use.

Bakuchiol can be applied at any time of the day and can be used  in conjunction with practically every other active ingredient, while it is not recommended to use retinol in conjunction with Vitamin C, AHAs and BHAs.

Andalou Naturals has launched  its new bakuchiol range which includes a Rejuvenating Serum, a Rejuvenating Eye Balm and a Rejuvenating Cream.

The range also includes the brand’s signature bioactive berry complex, a blend of antioxidants including acai, aronia and goji berry, fruit stem cells derived from the heirloom apple, and squalene, which is a light textured oil rich in essential fatty acids.

The range was launched with intimate one-on-one media appointments at La Porte Space, Rosebery.

Georgina Robinson, Andalou Naturals Brand Manager said: “We are delighted to launch this exceptional range of plant-based retinol products, for all ages and all skin types. It’s been so positively received since its incredible launch in the US, and with so many Aussie women opting for a balanced outdoor lifestyle, we believe this to be a range that provides an amazing non-compromise approach to healthy age-defying skincare, in the daytime without irritation.”

Andalou Naturals is the number one selling facial skin care brand in the US natural channel.

It was acquired by Melbourne-based BWX Limited four years ago for a reported US$80 million ((A$101.7m).

BWX  also owns and distributes some of Australia’s most popular brands including Sukin, Derma Sukin, , USPA and Mineral Fusion.

Andalou Naturals is available online now at Andalou.com.au and coming soon to Chemist Warehouse, Priceline, Nourished Life, and independent pharmacies nation-wide.
