The global body wash and shower gel products market was valued at US$31 billion ($46 billion) in 2019 and is projected to reach US$43 billion ($63 billion) by 2027, expanding at a compound annual growth rate of 4.2 per cent during the forecast period, 2020–2027, according to Growth Market Reports.
It cites the market as being driven by rising awareness about hygiene and health among people around the globe, as well as rising disposable income and increasing living standards of consumers.
This encourages consumers to choose costly and aesthetically appealing bath and shower products with novel ingredients and fragrances.
Bangn Body, founded by Priscilla Hajiantoni in 2019, is a firming, multi-purpose, natural, vegan and cruelty-free skincare brand targeted at Millennials, that has amassed a cult following on social media and distribution in Mecca.
The brand recently launched its Refresh and Renew Everyday Wash for face and body.
Priscialla said the wash was formulated with facial grade ingredients and antioxidants from guava and pineapple fruit extract, to create a gentle yet effective face and body wash that delicately buffed away dead skin cells without stripping or disturbing the skin’s pH balance.
“It took 17 months to create the perfect creamy, gel consistency and it has been the most highly requested product by customers,” she said.
“It also contains green coffee bean extract, which are rich in ceramides and vitamins that support healthy skin structure, reduce blemishes, and increase skin firmness – it’s the caviar of skincare.”
Other ingredients include jojoba esters to reduce dryness that can lead to flaky, rough patches on the skin, pineapple fruit extract, guava fruit extract and candelila wax.
The wash is housed in post-consumer recycled packaging, made from eco-friendly print dyes, is 100 per cent recyclable and will have a refillable option available soon.
