As the beauty industry gears up for Cosmoprof Asia 2023, one brand is making its debut with a unique twist. Recreation, a clean fragrance house situated in Bondi Beach in Sydney, is set to captivate attendees with its innovative approach to fragrances at this prestigious event. The brainchild of Nedahl Stelio, a former Cleo and Cosmopolitan magazine editor, Recreation, stands out as an exciting addition to the exhibition.

Nedahl, in anticipation of her first appearance at Cosmoprof, expressed her excitement about venturing into the Southeast Asian market, which has recently opened up in the wake of Covid-19. She sees this as an exceptional opportunity to introduce her brand to new markets.

“This is our first time exhibiting at any Cosmoprof,” she said. “South East Asia has just opened up properly this year after Covid and it’s a great opportunity for us to be exposed to these new markets. Our proximity to Asia makes sense for us to look here for possible expansion opportunities.”

Nedahl acknowledged the road to participating in an event like Cosmoprof is not without its challenges.

“There is a lot involved in exhibiting at Cosmoprof, from set design to meeting setups, transporting stock, organising staff and more. It’s a lot of work.”

Cosmoprof Asia, organised jointly by BolognaFiere and Informa Markets, will bring together key industry players in its hometown, a gateway to the Asia Pacific and Mainland China, known for its business-friendly environment due to its status as a free trade port and tax-free zone.

The event will comprise two primary segments. Cosmopack Asia, taking place from November 14 to 16 at AsiaWorld-Expo, will gather global leaders from the supply chain, covering everything from ingredients to machinery, equipment, packaging, contract manufacturing, and private label. Meanwhile, Cosmoprof Asia, happening from November 15 to 17 at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre, will showcase the latest branded finished products in a dedicated area focused on retail and professional distribution channels.

After a successful special edition in Singapore, Cosmoprof Asia 2023’s Hong Kong edition is set to welcome over 2,000 exhibitors from 43 countries and regions and approximately 60,000 attendees, with 90 per cent representing non-Hong Kong companies.

The exhibition space, spanning 100,000+ sqm across both venues, will once again become the hub for beauty brands and innovative suppliers from the Asia-Pacific region and around the globe for four days.
