Makeup artist Ginella Postaj  officially unveiled her long-awaited makeup brand, Ginella Beauty, to supporters, makeup enthusiasts, and beauty industry insiders at a rooftop party in Sydney.  

The launch marked a significant milestone for Ginella, who has been immersed in the makeup world since the age of 17 when she started working at Revlon and Max Factor counters in her hometown pharmacy.

Life took her through various twists and turns, including owning a newsagency with her sister, getting married, moving to Sydney, and becoming a mother to two incredible young men.

After a decade of diverse experiences, Ginella  realised her true passion lay in makeup artistry. Fuelled by determination, she pursued her dreams, quitting her day job, going back to school, and working in hospitality at night.

Three years ago, she embraced makeup artistry full-time, loving every minute of it despite the initial challenges of financial uncertainty.

“I worked day and night for over 12 months with little to no pay to gain the experience needed to turn this into my career,” Ginella shared in her speech at the launch. “Working on different faces every day in movies, weddings, and photoshoots allowed me to be creative and try various makeup brands, deepening my passion for this art.”

Driven by a desire to create a lasting legacy, Ginella embarked on a journey to develop her own makeup line. Amidst the backdrop of financial hardships caused by Covid-19, she poured her heart and soul into the project, determined to provide for her family as a single mother.

“It’s been 12 months of testing and trailing the products to ensure my makeup can compete and surpass the brands I love,” she said. “I envisioned an Australian made, mineral-based line suitable for all ages and skin types—products that make everyone feel beautiful, exuding an effortless glow every day.”
