More than 400 guests from the cosmetics and fragrance industries joined their partners in retailing, media, publishing, and supply last Friday, May 12 at The Star, Sydney to celebrate Dream Ball in support of Look Good Feel Better (LGFB).

Honouring 33 years of the charity’s support of those undergoing cancer treatment, guests were moved to tears by industry veteran and Look Good Feel Better team member, Danielle Lill, sharing her own experience with cancer, and were entertained late into the evening by Furnace and the Fundamentals.

Kerri-Anne Kennerly once again took the reigns as Master of Ceremonies and the charity’s ambassadors Leigh Campbell and Zoe-Foster Blake joined as special guests for the evening.

Chair of the Cancer Patients Foundation Board Rosi Fernandez.

Chair of the Cancer Patients Foundation Board, Rosi Fernandez, graciously welcomed guests, saying, “Thirty-three years ago, members of the Australian cosmetic industry rallied together, inspired by a cause that touches all of us. Setting aside the competition we normally engage in in the retail world, the industry united to do what we excel at – empowering people to look and feel their absolute best. And we did it for the benefit of those undergoing cancer treatment.

“Thanks to this commitment, the Look Good Feel Better program has since been able to positively impact the lives of over 170,000 Australians undergoing cancer treatment across the country. We have allowed them the opportunity to reclaim their identity as so much more than a ‘cancer patient’. Through our stock donations, volunteering, and funding we have helped provide tools and expertise to ensure confidence is restored and outlook is vastly improved. This outcome is something we can all truly be proud to be part of.”

Thanks to the generosity of the supporters in attendance, as well as those in the wider Look Good Feel Better community, the money raised on the evening will allow thousands of Australians to access the vital physical, psychological and social support the Look Good Feel Better program provides over the coming 12 months.

The final fundraising tally will be announced in the coming weeks. The charity is deeply grateful to all who helped make the night such a huge success.
