Paco Rabanne hosted a sun-drenched yoga class on the decks of Sydney’s Andrew Boy Charlton Pool to celebrate the launch of the Invictus Legend and Olympéa Legend fragrances.
Faces-of-the-brand Nick Youngquest and Luma Grothe made personal appearances at the launch, with Youngquest leading the yoga class himself.
PUIG Country Manager Peter Playford spoke with Youngquest about their shared sporting background.
Both played rugby before moving into their current careers. Playford played for the Waratahs and then coached the Sydney Stars team, and Youngquest was National Rugby League player before his debut into fashion.
Youngquest revealed he was lured into the fashion industry after retiring from the field and it’s been a great journey since.
Perfumers Domitille Michalon-Bertier of International Flavors and Fragrances (IFF) and Nicholas Beaulieu have retained notes from the original Invictus scent. Invictus Legend has a fresh sensuality along with the signature notes of laurel, grapefruit and guaiac wood.
Olympéa Legend was created by another IFF perfumer Loc Dong, who was responsible for the original fragrance.
The new notes of vanilla, ginger flower and salt continue the original’s freshness and sensuality but combine to create an oriental sillage.
Paco Rabanne Invictus Legends and Olympéa Legend are on counter now at Myer and David Jones.
