Australia’s hair care market is poised to grow at a CAGR (compound annual growth rate) of 4.45 per cent over the next five years.

The changing consumer dynamics, coupled with increasing product awareness, have been identified as the major driver for the market, according to Mordor Intelligence.

According to the market intelligence agency, consumers are opting for products that do not contain synthetically derived chemicals, propelling vendors to launch hair care products that contain ingredients derived from natural and organic sources.

Recognising a gap in the market, Anatomy Studios Directors, Katherine Ruiz and Matt John, embarked on a mission to introduce well-designed, high-performing haircare products to the aisles of supermarkets.

People Haircare, formulated by industry experts,  was born with the goal of providing an affordable alternative to salon-quality brands.

Innovative thinking extended to the packaging design of People Haircare, with letterforms that were transformed into shapes, and each assigned a distinct colour to differentiate the range of products.

Speaking exclusively to Retail Beauty, Ruiz said the brand’s mission was to  “revolutionise the haircare landscape by making premium, high-performing, and ethically-made products accessible to people of all hair types”.

“We firmly believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to look and feel their best, exuding confidence and embracing their unique style,” she said.

“Every aspect of the packaging was also thoughtfully crafted with the intention of standing out and enhancing the overall visual appeal.”

To celebrate the brand’s nationwide Coles launch of their new Blonde Shampoo and Conditioner and their All-In-One leave-in treatment, media and influencers were invited to a wash and blow dry showcasing the new products at  Cole Hair Salon in Sydney’s Double Bay.

People Haircare believe in ethical and sustainable practices and all of the products are vegan, cruelty-free, and free of parabens, SLES, ALS, triclosan, propylene glycol, EDTA, mineral oil, and soap.
