Other countries might boast prestigious fragrance awards, but the US Fragrance Foundation Awards are viewed as the cream of the crop.

This year marked the 50th anniversary of the so-called “Oscars” of perfume and the red carpet event was held on June 15th at the Lincoln Center in New York. More than 900 guests attended the ceremony to celebrate the winning fragrances across 14 categories and two honorific awards.

L’Oréal CEO, Nicolas Hieronimus, was awarded the 2023 Hall of Fame gong, which was presented by Cate Blanchett. While French noted nose, Anne Flipo, netted the Lifetime Achievement Perfumer Award. Flipo has worked with nearly every major fragrance maker from L’Oréal to Estée Lauder and Puig, creating niche juices and global bestsellers such as Paco Rabanne Invictus and Yves Saint Laurent Libre.
