La Prairie first debuted its luxurious Skin Caviar range 35 years ago, and it quickly garnered a cult following among skincare enthusiasts.

To celebrate the launch of its latest innovation, La Prairie Skin Caviar Harmony L’Extrait, consumers are being invited to embark on an immersive journey with a luxury retail experience.

The Caviar Lab is being held on Level 7 at David Jones in Sydney’s CBD.

Speaking at the launch event, Rosi Fernandez, Managing Director Australia and New Zealand of La Prairie Group, said the lab was a way of consumers being able to experience the facets of La Prairie’s most iconic collection.

The lab contains five interactive stations, ranging from the brand’s Bauhaus art inspiration to the unveiling of the latest skin caviar innovation.

Guests can learn about the La Prairie Women’s Bauhaus Collective, which is  an initiative that celebrates the legacy of the women of Bauhaus, and  pays homage to five young female artists who each created a unique digital work while being mentored by award-winning designer Sabine Marcelis.

Guests can also try the Skin Caviar collection and discover their  personalised skincare  ritual.

Belinda Besant, Education Director at La Prairie Group AG, said the skin’s architecture was composed of several horizontal and vertical elements, the vertical elements being skin ligaments.

“Skin ligaments are unique structural units that form a flexible yet strong network throughout the hypodermis. They are essential to the structural stability of the skin and anchor skin to its foundation. With age, the ligaments weaken and the entire skin follows gravity. Facial sagging sets in, firmness and contours are lost and the formation of deep wrinkles is accelerated,” she said.

She said by being able to identify and quantify components of skin ligaments, La Prairie created an ideal blend of proprietary caviar ingredients, augmented with a specific high-efficacy active, designed to help visibly strengthen the skin.

The Caviar Lab is being held from  Friday, 9th September  until Sunday, 18th September, 2022.
