Six-time Archibald Prize finalist David Bromley has teamed up with Bondi Perfume Company to create and launch three bespoke fragrances: Noir, Oriental and Floral.
Best known for his eye-catching paintings and sculptures, Bromley has always had an immense passion for the beauty industry and this collaboration is finally bringing his dream to fruition through the creation of three distinct eau de parfum fragrances.
Speaking exclusively with Retail Beauty, the iconic Australian artist said: “I’m a huge advocate for taking art out of just certain niche areas through to broader audiences, and I have been like that always. Not for any political reason or anything, it just makes sense to me.”
The philosophical British-born, father-of-seven believes that art should be accessible to the masses.
“Certain things and certain objects can be found wherever you find them. When I was a kid, I had no money when I first started making art. I couldn’t collect furniture or anything like that and I collected driftwood – I was a beachcomber for three years.”
Matt Verrocchi, Bondi Perfume Company Director, said the brand was “privileged and honoured to collaborate on this bespoke fragrance collection and are fortunate to have an artistic visionary in David leading the project”.
“His intimate involvement in every facet of development has ensured the range is authentic and retains an aesthetic synonymous with Bromley’s artistic style. It’s a beautiful collection and one we are extremely proud of,” he said.
The fragrance notes explained:
- Bromley Collection Noir Eau de Parfum features notes of night blooming jasmine, patchouli vapor and skin musk
- Bromley Collection Oriental Eau de Parfum featuring notes of red dahlia, vanilla bean and caramelized amber
- Bromley Collection Floral Eau de Parfum features notes of pear leaves, muguet and honeysuckle
Housed in chic bottles adorned with signature Bromley artwork, the scents are a must-have for every fragrance collection.
