The global self-tanning products market size is expected to reach US$1.31 billion ($2.04 billion) by 2030, registering a compound annual growth rate of 4.5% over the forecast period starting from 2022, according to Research and Markets.

Rising preference for healthy and tanned skin, especially among female consumers, has given rise to increased spending on self-tanning products, it states.

Orro & Co Amalfi Glow Drops allow consumers to create and customise the depth of their tan while hydrating their skin, says founder Sara Sidari, an Italian born artist and entrepreneur who has lived most of her life between Australia and Italy.

“Growing up I was known as the golden girl as I would always holiday in Italy and then come back with this beautiful golden tan and I could never replicate it,” she said.

“So, in 2017 I set out to create a formula that would replicate that beautiful  European golden tone, and I did that through our hero product, the Amalfi Glow Drops.”

The hybrid tanning serum is lightweight in texture and colour and features nourishing skincare ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, vitamin E, jojoba and rosehip oil and is made from  natural DHA.

“The drop formula allows you to customise your colour and intensity of your tan, so you can control your shade,” Sara said. “ The more drops you add, the deeper and darker the tan.”

Suitable for sensitive skin and all skin tones, Orro & Co is vegan, cruelty-free and contains no parabens, fragrance and synthetic colours and is housed in a custom glass bottle made from  recycled materials.
