Jodie Matthews needs no introduction to the local beauty industry.

With roles as Chief Operating Officer at O&M Haircare, Head of Retail, Sales & Marketing ANZ at Jurlique and General Manager at MAC, The Estée Lauder Companies Australia, under her belt, Matthews is a veteran at the development of successful brand strategy, distribution, sales and profitability.

Having devoted the last two years to intensive studies in naturopathy, the entrepreneur has joined forces with the talented co-founders Siobhan Fildes and Sarah Ward. Inspired by the timeless wisdom of Ayurvedic practices, they have collaboratively curated an extraordinary range of wellness products that truly stand out.

Ashaya is an evidence-based supplement and skincare range that has been crafted to support healthy hormonal balance for women.

“All of us are at different stages of our hormonal lives, so personally know how many women feel,” Jodie said.

“We have all tried so many different medicines, therapies and products over the years but none of us saw a real change in the severity of our symptoms. So, we got together and talked to the experts. We consulted with naturopaths, herbalists, women’s health practitioners and Ayurvedic clinicians to create our formulas which have now been translated into therapeutic oral supplements designed to combat hormonal symptoms and luxurious face and body oils infused with effective botanical ingredients; all in two distinct formulations to address the needs of women in the menstrual stage and perimenopausal stage.”

Jodie said the brand’s philosophy centred around supporting women by empowering and educating them to find hormonal balance throughout their lives, acting as a platform for conversation and space to normalise menstrual health, periods, fertility, perimenopause and menopause, embracing the inevitable shifts of the female body.

Siobhan explained the meaning behind the term ‘ashaya’ and said it was “a Sanskrit word for abode or residence”.

“We want women to feel more at home in their bodies throughout their entire hormonal journey from menstruation, perimenopause and beyond, so they can be the best version of themselves and live in harmony with their hormonal cycles,” she said.

“Ashaya is so much more than pain relief; we empower women with tailored rituals that help ease the symptoms of PMS and perimenopause whilst also supporting everyday health and wellbeing.”

The range of supplement powders, face oils and body oils are blended in Australia by a team of research and development experts and vegan, GMO and cruelty-free.
